Day 12 of 30

Ask Better Questions

Welcome back to Day Twelve of 30 Days to a Smarter Growth System.

Yesterday, we worked on turning attention into conversation.

Today, we're going to make those conversations better.

And one of the fastest ways to do that is surprisingly simple:

Ask better questions.

Most outreach starts with information about us.

What we do.

What we sell.

How long we've been doing it.

Why someone should work with us.

But your prospect is usually thinking about something completely different:

their situation.

So today, instead of trying to come up with the perfect pitch, I want you to come up with a better question.

A question that makes your prospect stop for a second and think.

For example:

"What has changed in your business over the last year that people outside the company probably wouldn't notice?"

Or:

"If you could change one thing about this property before the end of the year, what would it be?"

Or:

"What would have to happen for selling to become a serious conversation?"

Notice what those questions do.

They open a door.

They give you context.

They help you understand timing, motivation, and priorities.

And most importantly, they give the other person room to talk.

Here's your assignment.

Write down three questions you could ask your ideal prospect.

Then use at least one of them today.

Put one at the end of a LinkedIn post.

Use one in an email.

Ask one during a call.

And listen carefully to the answer.

Here's an AI shortcut.

Tell your AI tool exactly who you serve, what kind of conversation you're trying to start, and ask it to generate ten thoughtful questions.

Then throw away the generic ones.

Keep the questions you would feel comfortable asking someone face-to-face.

AI can help you brainstorm.

But your judgment determines whether the question is worth asking.

TomorrowTomorrow we are going to improve another part of your communication: your follow-up, and why "just checking in" is one of the weakest messages in your pipeline.
