Day 2 of 30

Trace One Lead

Listen (about 3 minutes), or read below.Amber Pember, in her own words.

Welcome back to Day Two of 30 Days to a Smarter Growth System.

Yesterday, you found the leaks around five real prospects.

Today, we are going to follow one lead all the way through your business.

Pick one real person who raised a hand recently.

Now map the journey.

Where did they first find you?

Did they come from a referral, LinkedIn, Facebook, an event, a website, a QR code, an email, or a direct call?

Where did their information land?

Did it go into a CRM? A spreadsheet? Your phone? An inbox? A sticky note?

Who followed up?

What happened next?

And what system knows the next action today?

Draw the path from source to capture to database to follow-up to next step.

Then circle every manual handoff.

Those circles are important.

Because every handoff that depends on somebody remembering is a place where a lead can disappear.

Your first useful automation is probably hiding inside one of those circles.

For today\'s outreach, connect with ten people who fit your target market. Personalize the note for the strongest three. Engage on five industry or local posts. Send five one-to-one emails. Then send a few direct messages or voice notes to people you already know.

Do not pitch everybody.

You are building a system for conversations, not blasting names.

Your assignment is to trace one lead completely and identify the one handoff you would most like to remove.

That is where smarter technology starts: not with more tools, but by removing friction from a real process.

TomorrowTomorrow we are going into the CRM itself, because a database full of names is not useful if the information is stale, disconnected, or missing the next move.
